Brass resin · glass globe

A butterfly,
held in a small light.

Brass sculpture by day. After dark: frosted globe warming, butterfly perched on the glass, globe as the lamp, butterfly as the reason you look twice.

∅ 8.25″ × H 5.75″ / Dia 21.0 cm × H 14.6 cm Plug-in E26, 40W

Color

Design idea

Held still,then chosen.

Half the idea is a brass butterfly on the glass. The other half is a living wing that finds the light and lands in view.

Why the perch sits outside the glass

The shape is cast in resin and fixed outside the globe. It is not a printed shade, and the outline stays sharp by day or when lit.

This lamp is for a moment, and the object itself is one butterfly.

Concept filmThe lamp stays. The visitor does not.

Details worth keeping

The butterfly is the design, not a decal.

Up close, daily life is the wings, the perch, and the leaf base. Resin, glass, and a small round foot are the materials.

Wing

Cast in resin

The wings are brass-finished resin. Lit or dark, the globe does not hide the veins or the row of spots.

Perch

Against the glass

Outside the globe, so the butterfly's silhouette is not swallowed by the light.

Base

Then a foot with a leaf

Steady on the table because the foot is round. The globe is lifted by layered leaves.

Where it belongs

A table object that can glow.

It measures ∅ 8.25″ × H 5.75″ / Dia 21.0 cm × H 14.6 cmInline cord switch, after it is placed where a small brass piece belongs.

Butterfly table lamp glowing on a bedroom nightstand

Bedside

Nightstand only. Ambient glow. Not a reading light.

Kitchen island

Bowls and flowers can surround it, because it is low enough not to block the room.

Dining table

The centerpiece does not have to leave when the plates are cleared.

Chest of drawers

A book and a branch are enough company when it is unlit and reads as brass sculpture.

Scale

Small on purpose.

Use it to mark a table, not to light the room. The height stays under a standing hardcover.

∅ 8.25″ × H 5.75″ / Dia 21.0 cm × H 14.6 cm

E26 socket, type A, 40 watt maximum

Bulb not included

Butterfly table lamp beside a hardcover book and a teacup

After dark

Not a task light with a glow.

Cord-mounted switch. Frosted glass over a type A bulb equals night-light warmth, not a reading lamp.

When it is off

Finished before you switch it on.

The globe stays the quiet part. The object is the resin butterfly and leaf base, plugged in where a small brass piece would sit.
